Location: Minnesota | Anyone have any good places to recommend to go horse camping in the Ozarks? Looking for a place with lots of trails and water crossings. Stalls for the horses and electric for the living quarters would be nice too. |

Location: Rayne, LA | We have been to Falling Waters in Pelsor, AR many times and really like it. Trails are as challenging and as long as you want. Many water crossings and water falls. We are going to try Flying R in Weat Plains MO on two separate recommendations from friends that we have ridden with at FW several times. |

Location: northeast Texas | We spent a week at Bar 50 in Bismark near Hot Springs in June. Electric and water plus pens for the horses. Lots of beautiful trails that are well marked and the map is great to orient you. There were many creek crossings. Excellent summer place as camp and trails are shaded. Fuel and restaurant close by. The Clays were excellent hosts. |

Location: Rayne, LA | CTRider, I had heard that Julian at Bar 50 passed away. Is that true? DD we also have been to Lonsome D in New Blaine, AR and like it also, except they barely maintain the campground or trials, but the mountains are nice. And I also agree with CTR about Bar 50 |

Flying R is an excellent camp. There is also a small camp with nice and easy trails, not very big, around 1200 acres, privately owned, called Rafter D above Batesville,AR.We love both of these. |

Location: northeast Texas | Cajun me and a friend were there mid June and I visited with Julian. He was driving around in a Jeep. But anything can happen. My husband flew in from North Dakota June 24th and suffered a mild stroke June 26th. No warning. He's fine now. I'll try and find out. We we're planning to go back when it cools off. |

Location: missouri | We ride and camp primitive, but our first outing this spring will be Flying R (south of Mountain Grove,Mo). It is a first class, clean facility. We drove over Friday and met the owner and took a tour. Nice campgrounds, clean, covered pens, a tack shop, dining hall, laundry, and really nice shower/baths. I am anxious to get on the trails. Many trails north and south of there are pretty good too. |

Location: The Natural State | You will love, love, love Flying R... we've been 3 times this year and will be making trips back in October and November... all around, it's 5 Stars! Oh, and their chef, Chris, cooks ups some really good food if you don't feel like cooking one night. We feel very lucky this wonderful place is less than a 2-hour haul for us! |

Location: central IL | If you camp at Flying R, don't plan on doing your own cooking. As already stated, Chris the cook is beyond fabulous. You'll be asking for smaller portions. Fortunately, we only planned for breakfast and supper. There was no way we could even think about lunch after the hearty delicious breakfast. Everything is made from scratch. Nice camp every step of the way. We were there first of August right before the rains set in. Hope to go back soon. |

Location: The Natural State | Cajunmuleman... not sure on exact date yet. Since we live so close, we watch the weather and then decide. So far, we have not had difficulty making reservations at the last minute, but that may not be the case this fall. More folks are finding out what a wonderful place Flying R is... the secret is getting out!
