Location: Wright City, Mo | That happened here in St. Louis County outside of St. Louis, Missouri a few years back. They auctioned off the mounted patrol horses. We got lucky when one of the horses up for auction had papers from the previous owner that said that he could not be sold by the Dept. We ended up being able to just adopt him. What a great all around horse. My wife rode him in all of the area parades for a couple of years and nothing fazed him, even kids at the 4th of July parade throwing firecrackers didn't bother him. We ended up finding out his previous owner had given him to the county because she was sick and could no longer ride. We contacted her and she came out to visit and it was quite emotional. He's now involved in a Therapeutic Riding facility in Illinois. My wife still talks about how incredible he was. |

Location: missouri | Oh Well, we're next! I guess our trucks and trailers will be flower pots by the time this mess is over... I think it is sad that they are going by the wayside. It makes me want to liquidate down to our rig and go see whats left of this beautiful country they(D.C.) are tearing down. |

Unfortunatly I don't know the name of the facility. We sold him to a trainer/friend of ours from Illinois and he passed him on to the Therapeutic facility. If I can find out the name and location, I will post it. |

I haven't been able to find the name of the facility that has our horse. But, Beverly Farms is another facility in the area that I have been told is looking for suitable horses.
