Location: AL | Where do you find this fabric? Is it similar to what fly masks are made of? In a search on this topic: Saw where Painted Horse posted about using this over the jail bars and was interested in getting more info. on the details. |

Location: Northern Utah | Logan Coach sells their trailers with this Mesh already in place. They sew it up with pockets on the corners ( Like a fitted sheet on your bed) The pockets just slip over the corners of the Jail bars. You may check and see if the Logan product will fit your windows and just buy a finished product from them. I'm sure they sell replacements for their trailers. Or search on the internet for mesh fabrics. Places like this one. http://www.ahh.biz/fabric_catagories/mesh_and_netting.htm or more specifically http://www.ahh.biz/products/Vinyl%20coated%20polyester%20mesh2.0mm%20FVM002.htm

Location: East Tennessee, USA, Planet Earth | check a hardware store. you can buy pet proof screening (used for doors/windows) and use that. it's cheap, strong, safe and easy to work with. i got some at a store called Mills Fleet Farm. It's a Midwest store. |

Location: AL | Did you just wrap it around and secure it to the jail bars?? If so, what did you secure it with? Would Home Depot or Lowes have that kind of thing?? Just seems the regular window screens do not fit the jail bars but would need to be installed on the regular window itself. I have never had these bars and am just trying to find the best way to add additional protection from things that could fly in thru the bars. |

Location: Illinois | Look atthis site, http://www.horsetraileraccessorystore.com Click on window screen, there are a couple of types and someone mentioned the zipper type. Mine are not that type but it's not that big a deal to release one strap . Also have the hardware to attach the velcro straps. |

Location: South of Dallas | I wonder if using that 6mm netting would help with the wind resistance problem? Small enough to protect from flying debris and bugs (the bigger ones) and big enough to allow more air flow. Hummm.... |

Location: Hickory Hills, IL | Our Merhow trailer came with screens. Looks just like the screens on our windows at home, although I have not inspected it closely to determine exactly if it is the metal or fiberglass kind.I would think making a set to slip over the jail bars like a pillow case (slip over the top) would be pretty quick and easy. The fiberglass screen can be sewn in a sewing machine- I have done it on a few art projects.:-) |
