Hi I'm redoing my 78 Roadrunner 2H BP and I am a complete novice.

Right now I'm stripping it down getting ready for the metalwork.  All is going well but I can't figure out how to remove the plywood from the sidewalls.  I've found posts on how to remove the floor, but nothing for the sides.

Did they build the trailer around them? The sides and top are tight in the channels, do I have to trash the sides?  They are rotted in places so no loss but isn't there an easier way?

I'm sure I'll have more questions but one thing at a time.

Thanks Kelly

I'll take a shot at this. My dad would re-do old trailers when I was a kid. Your plywood is held in by a piece of channel top and bottom that is welded in place. We would cut face off of the top piece of channel to be able to remove and insert the new wood. It makes for a lot of cutting, grinding, & welding, but that is the way we always did it.
