| I live in Wisconsin and we recently had flooding in our area. When I could finally get to my trailer to check it out (roads washed away) the throw carpets inside the living quarters were soaking wet, but I don't know how high the water came up inside the trailer. Does anyone think that the walls soaked up the water? The wood floors were soaked.

| I have a 2002 Kiefer Built and we did the living quarters ourselves. We did insulate the walls with the styrofoam and plywood. |

Location: Arkansas | Will your trailer or homeowner insurance cover damages? Do you have flood insurance? Of course, it might have been somewhere besides your home, and that would have an effect on some insurance. Reason being, if it is covered, a restoration service might be great.... at any rate, have a dehumidifier running in there for as soon and as much as you can... |

Location: western PA | Insulation will wick water higher than the actual effected area. A restoration company would be an excellent choice. There are too many variables to say how much damage was done. The dehumidifier will help, and once things start to dry out, you will know what is damaged. Best of luck gard |

Water is not good for either brakes or bearings. |

| I do have flood insurance on the home, but I do not live there. I also have insurance on the trailer, but you know how insurance companies work. |

Location: Waukesha, Wi | Hi, I also live in WI - and I'm a claims manager with a national insurance company - Flood/HO insurance only covers your house - assuming you have "other than collision" coverage on your trailer, you do have coverage for flood - go get an estimate and submit it to your agent. We got quite a few claims this past month for flooded cars. \ PS if you don't trust your insurance company you should find a better one, go to JD Powers to find the best companies out there (I work for one of those). |
