IMO, French Creek in Custer State Park has better facilities. You can make a reservation at http://www.campsd.com/. We stayed at Elk Haven last year. The sites are tough to get backed into. Our's was only semi-shaded. All are on a hillside so there was literally a drop off on one side of our trailer. Elk Haven was originally set-up for RVs years ago. I never had a hot shower and I didn't think the showers were very clean. The store and cafe were nice amenities, though. Hay Creek Ranch is nice, but you have to follow 4 miles of Forest Service roads to get to the ranch. The roads are slick when wet and one lane only, so you hope you don't meet anyone coming from the opposite direction. Hay Creek has great cabins with kitchenettes if you want to splurge for that. http://www.haycreekranch.net/ We've never stayed at Broken Arrow, but we considered it. Nemo Guest Ranch looks good, too. http://www.nemoguestranch.com/ This place looks kind of neat. http://www.nemosd.com/rates.htm |
