Has anyone heard of putting powder on a horses back then carefully placing the saddle on. Then you apply pressure or girth it up.Then you remove the saddle and where it is not making contact with the back will be a bare spot on the saddle panels?Just wonder if anyone has tried it or heard of this.Sounds interesting.

Sounds like it should work pretty well.  It's so hot here right now that you just look for a dry spot on the horse's back.

Ride early or late, hose the horse off before and after, electrolytes, and covered arenas and trees!  It isn't even June yet and we are in July weather.  There won't be a second cutting of hay if this continues.
