Where is the most affordable place to buy a rubber bumper for my horse trailer? I e-mailed the maker of the trailer I have and they said 150.00 + shipping. Maybe I'm wrong, but that seems expensive to me for a bumper.

I was also gonna suggest Valley Vet. They have pretty good trailer stuff for a low cost...........never done wrong with them.

We got one from Valley Vet and put it on our GN stock trailer that hauls cattle and also horses sometimes... inexpensive works great for years now, and easy to put on.  It was somewhat wider than our trailer and was easy to cut to fit after installation.

I have been thinking about getting one of these for my trailer.  Do you know if the one Valley Vet sells comes with the proper stuff for mounting or do you need to buy it elsewhere?  Not much of a description on there.  I just bought new trailer pads(elsewhere) and had to get my own screws for them.  The place I ordered them from said they didn't come with the screws, but they didn't sell them, either.  They came in a box with no description of what to do with them.  Fortunately, I was replacing old and just took the old screws to Lowe's and matched them up.  I thought they would at least have holes already in them, but no.  I am not at all mechanical, so I'd have no idea what to buy to mount the thing.

The holes will be there on the bumper, but the bolts won't be. I have seen lag bolts used on them, and I have seen them bolted all the way through. My preference would be bolting all the way through. All that I have seen use a 3/8" bolt, and length will be determined by the rear frame of your trailer.
