We just traded in my Pilot for a 2005 Yukon XL.....loving the gas mileage already!  The trailer I'm interested in weights about 3800 lbs or so, and is an 18 foot Corn Pro 3 horse slant.  Anyone pull this with a Suburban/Yukon XL?  Do I need a class IV hitch?  Sway bars?  Anything different?  Please don't tell me to go buy a one ton dually now.  Some of you men kill me with the big beefy truck talk.....

You have all the truck you need, I would install some wieght distribution bars, and a good brake controller. My wife pulls a three horse Titan(probley a little heavier) with a Cadillac Escalade 6.0 and has no problems at all, so take it from someone who is doing what you are wanting to do, you will be fine.

I would get a Class 4 hitch and weight distribution bars.

Class IV hitch, weight distribution bars, anti-sway bar, and brake control.  I pull a 2H sundowner with a 4wd Suburban for my runabout rig, usually has one 950 lb mule in it and tack.  I do notice when I add a friends 1000 lb foxhunter to the trailer, but do not use this except locally (I use a 1 Ton Dually !!!! for anything over the 2 horse...oooops, I did it)

Personally I dont like a 3H BP, but any problems you may run into wont be because of the truck.

I pulled the exact trailer you mentioned with an Expedition. If I'm not mistaken, the specs on the Yukon are similar and the new ones are probably better.
