Location: Millington,MI | Howdy all...was wondering if someone could help me out. I raise miniature horses and was wondering about a trailer. I currently drive an 04 GMC Sonoma 4x4 with a V-6 engine. I also have a 97 Bison steel 2 horse trailer that is 7 feet tall. I would like to purchase a smaller trailer to pull as I feel it is too big for my truck. While I would love to buy both a new truck and trailer...my money tree still hasn't taken root. I'm thinking it would be less expensive to buy a smaller trailer and use my other trailer as a trade in. Could someone tell me what kind of trailer would be best (I usually haul 3-4, 250-300 lb horses)and any other info to help me make the best decision. I don't want to get a cargo trailer though.Any help would be greatly appreciated. I guess I should also ask what the weight my truck can handle is...it all seems so complicated. Should I get a steele trailer or maybe a shorter all aluminum 2 horse (6'6" perhaps)

Location: WI | We see a lot of Hawk Trailers at local shows custom built for mini's. http://www.hawktrailers.com/ These are sold thru Sunset Ranch Supply in Wausau. I know it's a hike for you, but I'm just throwing out ideas. These are Alum. skin, steel frame.

Location: Bow, NH | If you hauled them in a van would it be a "mini van"? Sorry, couldn't resist. BTW, I visited your web site and your minis are very cute!! Good luck in your search. |
