Location: washington | I spent a little time in my new LQ trailer today. I was able to light the stove and run the furnace - I am embarrased to say a toddler could have done it. I am confused about one thing though. My trailer has 2 DC batteries. I know the batteries are full, as the indicator shows, and the electric jack runs strong. Problem is when I unplug the AC to test everything without AC, I can't get power to the inside of the trailer. No power inside. The trailer jack still works though. There is a big red key in the battery box that says "battery bypass ON or OFF" What is this key for? There is no DC power regardless of the ON or OFF position of this key. I know I had power when I was plugged in to the truck when I first brought it home, but I can't figure out why I can't get battery power to the inside now.
I took the 2 batteries out a few months ago to charge them... maybe I put the batteries back in wrong. It must be the battery configuration - rats on that. I am not sure how else to hook them. I knew I should have taken a picture before taking them out. Argh.

Location: Home of Wild Turkey Whiskey | If it works when it's plugged into A/C, and it works when plugged into a truck, it can only be the battery configuration........ reversed, or there is a battery disconnect switch that is off. You say you have a battery bypass switch?, look inside if it and see if there is a fuse iside the switch that has been blown due to batteries being reversed. |

Location: washington | Okay, I have power now :) I had the batteries hooked up wrong.
I had the 2 batteries linked with jumper attachments done right:
positive to positive and negative to negative to ground, but,
the cable taking power from the batteries to the trailer was hooked
to the negative, not the positive. geeze. Oh well, I won't make
that particular mistake again.

Location: Coarsegold, CA | After hooking mine up wrong and figuring it out.....I wrote it in black marker right next to the batteries. Now it is permanently RIGHT THERE. |
