Just bought a used trailer after looking for months.  The HTW link is fantastic!!  At first I was looking for a private sale to avoid sales tax but then decided that buying from a reputable dealer has advantages that exceeded any tax savings.  They put this trailer through their shop for inspection and repacked bearings ect... Not only that, they replaced the doors of their own accord because they are very reputable.  Anyways, kuddos to Sundowner of GA!! (I don't work for them and am not related to them in anyway, shape, or form) Just a satisfied repeat customer!!

Here in MO you have to pay sales tax whether or not you buy from a dealer. Nice to know you had that option to consider. DK

In PA you have to pay sales tax in order to register the trailer, regardless of where it was purchased or if it was a private or commercial sale.

The governor has to pay for his perks somehow.

In Arkansas any trailer sold for over $1999 is taxed with sales tax for the value minus what you might have traded in or sold to buy the newer trailer.
