i have 2 stalls with the stall skins and one stall with rubber mats. i was told not to use the pelleted bedding on top of the stall skins because the urine wouldn't pass? is this true? i thought the whole idea of the pellets was to "trap" the urine?

I guess I'm dumber than the average toad....I know what rubber mats are, but what in sam hill is "stall skins"?!!
Never mind, I looked it up on the "net" and seen what they are.........I don't know.... Why would you have them in a horse trailer? Are they not for a dirt floor stall in a barn?

I've been using pellets on my stall skins and have had no problems. Yes, the pellets seem to trap the urine, anything that gets through the pellets drains through the mat into the rock floor underneath. Both the stall skins and pellets make it so much easier to keep my stalls clean and keep stall cleaning to a minimum. I am very happy with the arrangement.
