Anyone know of a good place to spend the night with horses between Nashville and Myrtle Beach. We are going to that ride and would like to get at least half way so we can get into Myrtle beach in the daylight. We can go through Atlanta or Knoxville. Rather go through Knoxville.

If you came through Atlanta, this place is 3-5 miles off I-20 just east of Altanta in Conyers, GA. I've never stayed there personally but the website shows a great looking place.

Lee State Park in Bishopville, SC is off I-20 also. It would put you about 2.5 hours from Myrtle Beach. It is very quiet and there are stalls available (they are not located in the same area as the camp ground) if you don't want to tie out or have your own portable stalls. I don't know if the park allows electric fence. This park is basically out in the country though. There's not even a gas station within 10 miles.

You can also do a search on recreation.gov. That site seems to have info on all the recreation areas and state parks around.

Hey. Glad you had a good time. The weather was perfect for the ride.

Did they let you guys ride on all the days or just on Saturday?

We rode thur, fri , and Sat and since then they emailed me and said they raised $314,000 and netted 280,000 after expenses. You can't ride as far on Thurs and Friday but on Saturday you get to ride 20 miles 10 miles down and 10 miles back.
