Location: north end of the big sky | When you winterize your LQ, do you put the antifreeze in the tank and pump it thur the lines, or do you by pass the tank? If you bypass is there some sort of adaptor kit you use to pump it out of the jugs?(I already drained and bypassed the hot H20 heater)Any tips??? Hubby gets really cranky at this stuff and I'd rather just do it myself.thanks in advance! |

Location: Northwest Ohio | We were given an adaptor of some sort to bypass the holding tank. We put anti-freeze in the lines only. |

Location: western PA | If you have access to your pump, you can buy an adaptor from rv stores that allows you to pump antifreeze directly from the gal container to the inlet of your pump. If you can't get to the pump, you have to put the antifreeze in your holding tank to pump it through. Most water heaters can be drained and by passed. I know some rv owners blow compressed air through their system to eliminate the water. I like to see pink fluid at each faucet; the I know it's protected. Gard |

Paul said it best. Go to that link and you'll have all the info you need. It only takes 15-30 minutes. After you have done it a few times, it is a snap.
Also check to see if your LQ has drains on the underside. There should be two, one for hot and one for cold water. The caps cane be twisted off by hand or a wrench. Drain the water out of them. |
