Location: WI | Ok folks, our Steel Dinosaur is sold, so it's time to shop for another trailer. We have our eye on an '06 Integrity 2h with 5' sw. Please see the link, tell me what y'all think of the asking price, if that's a fair deal, etc. Also, opinions on that brand. I was very impressed with the quality. http://www.ziemantrailersales.com/integrity/index.htm 4th one down on the list. |

Location: georgia | Looks like just what we want as well, however for the small amount of difference I would buy the 2007 3 horse that is 1st in the list. A 3 horse will always have a better resale value when you get ready to trade again. Also you could move the dividing wall back and have a mid tack where the excape door is and more living space. Just my thought of which them and $2.99 will get you a gal. of fuel in south Georgia. MIke |

| A 2H is harder to get rid of when/if you are ready to do so. I personally couldn't do without our front stall with a stud divider to store a bale of hay, muddy boots, extra sodas, the grill, ect ect ect.Plus I put in a clothes rod and hang my worn clothes in it to get them out of the way. That front stall is a life saver.Have to have an escape door, tho.First LQ trailer we had w/front stall had NO escape door, big mistake. |

| Plus I think I would have to have an electric or hydraulic jack on it. |

Location: Arkansas | Exactly what crowleysridgegirl said, right down to a T. Also love the electric jack, and use that 3rd stall a bunch! Will be hauling a packmule to CO this month, as well as 2 to ride, am sure gonna miss putting "stuff" in that 3rd stall....(but will be so glad for the mule to pack out the hunt's harvest!) Good luck in your search! |

Location: WI | Thanks for the replies, folks. We have since changed our search to a 3h with escape door and pass thru door. Stud divider is a big plus. 4' sw will suffice with a pass thru door. Looked at the local Featherlite dealer, and I must say I wasn't impressed. They felt cheap. The finish work on the brand new ones was shoddy. The window frames seemed cheap and light-duty. Oh, and derned expensive, considering what you get for your dollar. Found a coupla nice 4h trailers at great prices, but am leary of going that big. The search continues. |

Location: WI | In fact, there was a C & C on our list, but it's only a two horse and we've decided to get a three horse. |

Location: WI | A 2 + 1 would be my first choice. However, price seems to keep it just out of reach. I'm tempted to just bite the bullet and go for it, but I'm a frugal sob. Plus, is my Ram 2500 360 gas gonna have enough snot to pull one? |

Location: Spring Grove, MN | I own a 2001 32' C&C 4 horse head to head with 2 tack rooms. I pull it with a 96' GMC 3500 with the old 6.5L diesel, it handles it just fine. I love C&C they are a bit more money but the quality is great. We also do horse trailer conversions and work on several brands and I really like the quality C&C has all around. www.csconversions.com |

I'll say they are expensive, but if you aren't buying trailers year after year...you look at the cost per year over 10 years as a ballpark valuation and realize there is a substantial residual value, that will be recovered on the backend... My wife has used my K2500 7.4 Liter to pull her rig when her GMC 3500 was getting its deck...I had to add Super Springs as found on the MR. Truck Accessories WebSite...also, I noted my fuel bills rose dramatically... but it worked, let's just say I wouldn't want to do this for a whole competition season... |

Yeah, I hear ya. So 22k up front and hope to fetch 10k after ten years....I don't know if that's realistic, but looking at brands like Sundowner that hold their value like gold....sure makes it sound like the cat's meow. In addition, the 2 + 1 has so much versatility for other, non-horsey things. I'm tempted. Darn tempted. Kiefer makes a really nice 2 + 1 that is in an almost attainable price range for me....maybe I should just DO IT! Who thought trailer shopping would be this stressful? |

I found a '00 Sooner 4h with lined & insulated DR. http://www.horsetrailerworld.com/home/trailerdetail.asp?ID=130527 And an '06 Adam 4h x 8' ~ used twice. Has a full square nose, so a long bed is recommended. Really nice. http://www.horsetrailerworld.com/home/trailerdetail.asp?ID=128425 |
