Location: Northern Utah | Number 1 Dairy Alfalfa is running $140 a ton. I bought a 60/40 alfalfa/grass mix for $100 a ton in mid sized bales. So you can find some deals if you pre-order and shop around. Small bales out of the barn are running $5 a bale. |

Location: Iowa | We are selling small squares of brome for $2.50 and alfalfa for 3.00. 5ft. round of grass for 50.00. Hay will be short supply so I suspect our winter prices to go up around .50 |

| Were paying 4.50 - 6.00 here in SC. Coastal Bermuda hay too. Back in May we had no rain and they couldn't cut. They were having it shipped in and it was running 8.50 - 10.00 a bale. The 8.50 bales were alfalfa and timothy. My horses loved it. The ten a bale hay was timothy and fescue and they turned there nose up at that. I never feed fescue but that's all we could get for a few weeks. Much better now. Although some are saying it's going to real scarce again around cutting time next year. |

Location: Monroe, WA | Anywhere from $190 a ton (good horse alfalfa) on up - and timothy or high grade mix is higher than that here. That's off the truck and in the barn - you can get it a little less over in E.WA, but the hauling over the mountains drives the price right on up there. That, and the export hay thing.... |

Location: Northern CA | I am paying $8.50 a bale for good quality alfalfa; fine stem and lots of leaf (3 string bales, probably 110lbs) and buy in 44 bale lots every 6 weeks. Oat hay same quality is running $7.00 and timothy is $10.25. This is all from a hay dealer, not the feedstore. Prices at the feedstore are running about $10.75-$12.00 per alfalfa and $14.00-$16.50 for the timothy. |

Location: Northern, CA | $170 a ton for grass mix. Our problem is there isn't that much hay this year. We're filling the barn NOW, while good hay is still available. |
