only when I turn the Airconditioner on does my refrig flash low a/c is this because the trailer is not getting enough juice? I do have it parked a ways from the outlet and two heavy duty extension cords on it???

Anyone???

That is Right. You are not getting enough power to the Trailer to run both. You will lose a certian amount of current the farther you run a drop cord.

Ok.. note to self move trailer closer to house so not to use three cords... Thanks... I knew it didn't do that when I hook up at runs.. but I don't use extensions to when I stay at an arena..

Got to love this board.. So helpful..

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A 30amp extention cord might help also. I think I've seen them at Wally World.

The heavier your cord the longer you can run with out amperage drop.

If you are running typical light extension cords. that are 14-16 gauge  You will lose a lot of amperage.

Buy a 8 or 10 guage 30 amp cord and you may be able to leave the trailer parked where you want to park it.

If Wally World doesn't have that cord. Camperworld Does.

I purchased the camper extension cord it has the same ends as the trailer, but I parked so far from the house, I got a 30amp 50ft cord hooked on their also.. I just think I'm arked way to far from the house.

You need to get this shareware, so you can calculate your very own voltage drops depending on amperage, distance and cable size...

I don't have the A/C on right now, I was waiting to hear from all of you before I go change up everything. So tomorrow I will hook up an move the trailer closer so I only have to use the short extension cord (made w/the same ends as the trailer) and turn on the a/c on while the refrig is running. I'll keep ya'll posted.

Thanks again for all your input and the pm's...

Deb
