Location: Coarsegold, CA | I had an 8.5' camper. I put a stack of 2 plastic drawers under the frig on the floor. This camper didn't have an access hole to the wheel well on the passenger side. I had the drop down over the dinette bunk, and used this with 5 plastic organizer bins. Kept all sorts of things in there. My longest trip was 2 people and 6 weeks long. MANY many week long trips. This worked great. |

Location: Coconut Creek, FL | I have a small LQ (5' short wall) so efficient use of space is critical. I try to have items that have multiple uses. I have several wicker baskets that hold items and can be placed on top of shelves and yet look good and keep things organize. Travel size toiletry items, various hangers to hang stuff, plastic bins to hold paper plates, cups, misc food items, etc. |

Location: North of Detroit, MI | Install a clothes rod across the foot of the bed. Get some hanging organizers (shoe bags work well) and hang everything you can; T-shirts, jeans, sweatshirts, etc. Use the hanging shoe bag for socks, underwear, bandana. Bed, Bath & Beyond; K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Meijer (I see you're in Michigan), Linens and Things, even the dollar stores have hanging baskets and clear plastic hanging organizers. Try to find one of the hangers that lets you put several pair of pants on it. Tie and Belt hangers work for many items too. I've used belt hangers for tack!! The other thing to help stay organized - when you pack, roll clothing up instead of laying it flat. That way you can stand it up if it's in a carry bag; or lay it in the compartment of the shoe organizer and see exactly what's there (by color and texture) without having to paw through piles of clothing. The toiletry organizers work really well for kitchen items (seasonings, oil, utensils, hot mitts, towels). I bought one that was 2-sided... some of the pockets were small, so I nipped some of the stitches to make the pockets larger. One side held first aid & bathroom; the other side held show clothing items (hair stuff, belts, safety pins, stockings, make-up, etc.) |
