| The ball extension would be the only one that would give you extra room. If you think about it, with a coupler extension on, and a trailer @ 90 deg. to the truck, you've done nothing to add clearance. However, with a ball extension @ 90 deg., you've moved the trailer back 4". |

On GM trucks this is not an option as the crossmember for the bed is above the axle. So the ball cannot be. I know this cause I just put one in less than a month ago. I bought the extend-a-ball, it's called from B/M. |

Location: Vanzant, Missouri | I got the pop up hitch extender. Moved the trailer back about 9 inches and I can jack knife it without a problem. I have a short bed F250.
