| I was going to look at a new exiss trailer tomorrow and looked at the posts here to find out if anything had been written about this trailer. I see that a lot has been written but it has been frozen which does not seem like a good sign. Is this a trailer i should be looking at??
Thanks |

Location: Oklahoma | Exiss is a good trailer, They are made by universal trailer which makes severial of the most popular brands of trailers. On this forum as with all others you will find people who are brand loyal or make a complaint about a trailer that could be a problem with any brand. Sometimes its good to ask advice but you should trust your own judgment. What it it that you want your trailer for, weekends, heavy use, LQ etc and then you be the best judge. Some one will always offer their opinion [their own] its up to you to choose. Good luck By the way I have owned, 5 different makes of trailers, they were all good and served their purpose. |

Location: West Coast | We own an Exiss event trailer, it has alot of miles on it and are very happy with it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Exiss 'Event', but personally, I would not buy the Exiss 'Sport' Model. |

| You get what you pay for in this world. There is a reason that Exiss is one of the more inexpensive brands out there. In any case, do your homework. Trailer shopping has never been easier. Find an event near you like an Equine Affaire or Congress and look at all the different trailers. Make a list with pro's and con's of each trailer and tally them up when you're done. But maybe you've already done this... there must be a reason you selected Exiss in the first place. |

| They are economically cheap... Good trailer if you aren't wanting to pay much. I know of alot of people in my area that have them. It is probably like when you buy saddles, buy the best that you can afford. I have been looking at getting an elite. But when I look at the cost.. wow.. |

| I saw this thread, and I thought,"Oh no,here it goes again."Another chance to bash Exiss ".We have a 2006 Exiss Event LQ w/12'SW.We pulled it this weekend to a ride in a nearby state, and it did just fine.Nothing fell off,no walls fell down, the axles held up,no doors flew open, ect.Just being facitious, but,we love ours just as much as we did our Platinum. We think we made a good choice, personally.Others that are brand loyal or haul a lot and have had good luck with other brands would probably argue the point, but we are happy with ours. |

Location: WI | I have a 2002 Exiss event 4 horse. I love it. No complaints at all so far.Pulls great. Love the 60/40 doors, big dividers. The only thing I can fault it on is it has lights mounter right on top of the wheel well and I think they will be in the way there, but I plan to move them to the side instead. |

Location: Claxton, Ga. | I also have a 2006 Exiss Event XT412(4horse 12'shortwall). I had an issue at first but Exiss corrected it with a little help from Don at Dixie horse & Mule. Absolutely zero issues since. All is well. I drove 6 hrs with it today to get hay of all things(Dry as a raisin in my area boy we need some serious rain). Not a single issue today. |

Location: Salinas, Ca | I also have an exiss event 310 (3 horse, 10' shortwall) Living quarter trailer. I'm not in any way trying to sound like a ego maniac but money wasn't an issue for us when shopping for a trailer. We looked at alot of them, from platinum to elite, to sooner and 4star. My wife would not get off of the exiss, it was the most trailer for her money. It was a 'value' seeming what it came with for the money. The 100k trailer that some of the salesmen were showing us were just gawdy. Plus they were way to long and just had too much crap to them. I really like simple, straight forward and functional. This trailer has been absolutely perfect. I have many miles on it and have never had any safety issue. When we first bought it we had found the roof in the horse area had a leak, they fixed it promptly. (it was from the hayrack we had installed, not even the trailer's fault.). I guess the cliff's notes are I dont think we could have done better. I love this trailer and the service that comes with the exiss dealers I have dealt with (the trailer mart in Bakersfield, Ca Couldnt have treated me or my wife any better) |

Location: Winder, GA | I just bought a new exiss trailer and after my horses only being in it a few times the kick plates are tearing off the walls. Any suggestions? I don't think its covered under warranty, which stinks to me because its for carrying horses and it should be tough enough to do the job. Anyone else have the same problem? |

| Mrs Ford, my store manager in Conyers, Ga, Lynn, advised me of your problem on 4/11 and advised she has asked you to bring the trailer in for inspection and repair at your earliest convenience. Rest assured all will be fixed, and at no cost if it is a warrantable problem. Lynn understood from speaking with you that your hirse bit and tore the wall mats, but could have misunderstood. At any rate, please come in as soon as you can, and we'll get you taken care of. If it is livestock damage, without defect in materials or workmanship, we'll treat you right on price. I promise we will be more than fair, and only ask the same of you. Below are comments posted in my database by the store manager on that day. lynn - 4/11/2007 5:15:00 PM (Phone/5 min) - I spoke with Gail about the wall mat in the HA. Horse bit the mat and ripped it. The last drop window will not shut. I advised her to call us and make an appointment to bring the trailer by for us to make what repairs were needed and covered. She said she will call when school is out for summer break I appreciate your business, and I'd appreciate the opportunity to get you taken care of. Thanks, DON SMITH, OWNER, DHMCO |

Location: Winder, GA | Just want everyone to know Dixie HOrse and Mule is a great place to buy a trailer and I would buy from them again. My post was no reflection on them, they are great people. I'm just trying to figure out the best thing to do with my trailer with regards to the kick plates. (everything else about the trailer is fantastic) Just a little unhappy with the materials Exiss used on the walls. With normal use it rips about where your horse's heels are. Just wanted to see if anyone had another solution. Thinking of buying some kind of solid rubber lining to put there that would uphold to horses putting their feet on it while traveling. |

Location: Arkansas | Just wondering, what is the width of the trailer? Not very much activity has occurred over the years on that area (the wall, not the floor, at the hind of the horses) for us, and just trying to see what the difference might be? |

| Miss Gail, thank you very much for the kind words! We look forward to repairing your trailer, and, once we see what the exact problem is, will do our best to come up with a solution that will prevent it from happening in the future! Thanks, DON SMITH |

Location: Winder, GA | I think its a 7ft. wide trailer/slant load. I think thats pretty standard size. I"m hauling a 15 hand QH and a 14 hand arab. They both stepped back on the wall while traveling and it ripped. |

Location: Minnesota | I own a 2002 Exiss Event 2H BP. It is my first trailer and I've only had it for 2 years. So far I am very pleased with it, and it gets alot of use.
Personally, I would not be interested in a Sport model. |

Location: MS | I have a 2000 2 horse Exiss XT B&B. I bought it new, and have done some remodeling to the LQ. I love this little trailer! Only issue I have had is one of the drop down windows fell off. I informed DHMCO and they immediately found me a local person to repair BOTH windows at no cost to me! I will buy another Exiss, and I will buy from DHMCO. |

Location: Arkansas | We are pleased with ours, it is not at all glitzy, no bling, but very clean simple light open feeling LQ with lots of storage (3 shirt hanging closets and 1 jean closet for tall man's wranglers!) and has more than enough "gotta haves" and a few "wanna haves)...you can always get more features and more stuff, but this one works really well as is.........I'd list all the features, but it would sound like a for sale ad!! Get what works for your needs and wallet and safety. |
