| We have started shopping for a new trailer. We are looking for a 9 horse straight load, head to head to tail. It must be at least 7'6" tall. I've been checking websites but no one shows a trailer like that as an option. Anyone know who makes them? We would prefer steel inside but would consider all options.

Search under the option for 9 horses http://www.horsetrailerworld.com/home/trailerdetail.asp?ID=113007 This one is only about 13K, only 7 foot though http://www.horsetrailerworld.com/home/trailerdetail.asp?ID=67084 This one is 7' 6".

Location: Texas | If you want brand new, many of the manufacturers will make one for you. I would bet that you could order one from 4-Star, Bloomer, Elite, Sundowner, and others. |

| Check out Pegasus... they seem to be about the only ones that have a 9 horse model readily available. |

| Thanks for the replies. I would prefer used because of cost but they are hard to find. I contacted a local deal who handles Shadow trailers. They are about $47,000. I am waiting to hear back from Trail-Et, Merhow, and Hawk. Anyone know of a steel trailer manufacturer that makes them? I saw the used one on this site but the company is no longer in business and the trailer was only 7' tall.I looked at the Pegasus site. I am guessing they are really pricey but they seem like a great trailer.

Ummm,
Are the wheel arches in the head to head space ?
I suppose they would have to be if you get 3 across, times 3.
and what sort of length ? I'm guessing 36 to 40 ft on the floor, 44 to 48ft overall.
I know LOTS of places where they won't let THAT through and a lot more where you'd have serious problems getting around.
Sure, its less than a semi, but even so,,,
Interesting, I'll ask the sales droids about them at the shows.

Location: Coaldale, Colorado | My Hawk Trailer I just designed/built is 96" wide, 45.5 ft long, box stall dividers on back section, bi-fold door on front section, 3 to 2 conversion if wanted, Elite model, ramps on rear, and both sides, this one had a 3 ft mid tack with a 30/70 wall to divide the tack and a 6 ft dress. Email for floor plan and the price was almost half of the Competition |

You guess pretty well from what I have seen. Here are my 2 problems with the slant loads and maybe I am wrong. No way to convert an area to a box stall which we need when we take babies. Have to unload horses to get to other horses that may be having problems or just unloading in general could mean unloading some horses just to get to others. |
