Location: Phoenix AZ | There are some things about the Ponderosa trailers that I didn't like. The finishing touches just weren't there. I noticed alot of rough edges and sloppy welding. And their paint jobs are well known to be inferior, unless they have changed since I was looking.
But as far as a safe, economical trailer I guess it's OK.
I ended up buying a used Wrangler, had it painted and spent about the same as what a Ponderosa would have cost new. The workmanship on the 'used' is much better.
I took the trailer to a shop to have the floor and mats checked out. They said every thing was still in good shape. In fact, what I have in my ten year old trailer is better than what most companies now a days put in the new one's, regardless of the manufacturer.
Good luck. |
