I'm an "all wool" kind of gal!   You can't beat wool - breathes, the most natural thing you can put on your horse - & will keep the horses' backs so much cooler due to the wicking abiligy.   My favorite is 5 Star - hands down.  They are the ONLY 100% wool pad out there - 90% virgin & 10% reworked.  If you ask the mfg'ers of the other so called all wools, exactly what percentages theirs are, they will stutter & stammer.     5 Star has the highest compression/concussion rate of ANY pad.  I am a dealer for them (if you would like some help/info/etc on them, pls PM me), but even if I weren't, they would still be the only pad we used.

now on the ride n lites - I see Country supply has them.  But I just laugh when they say it will keep your horse's back dry & cool all day:  NO WAY is memory foam/felt going to do that & with the mirco suede top - sure doesn't help that aspect.

But, as in every other piece of horse equipment (and breeds of horse, actually!), what one person prefers is not always going to be what the next one does.
