Location: Texas | I think the Steeltex has been replaced with the Transforce. I have had good luck with the Steeltex HT's, or formerly R4S's. So I would assume the Transforce HT would be similar. There are probably some Michelins out there that would provide higher highway mileage and better quality, but for a lot higher price, too. None of them are going to be stellar performers in mud, snow, or ice, though. You got some pretty good mileage out of your tires, though. Definitely nothing to complain about. Some others on here seem to know tires very well, so hopefully they chime in. Cough cough.

I do a lot of highway driving and pulling the trailer with this truck. I believe it has the orignal tires on it now - bridgestones - and im at 73000 miles.
If you've gotten 73K miles on the originals, I'd say you've got high mileage tires. Why not get another set of Bridgestones?
