Location: Dent, MN | I have a 2003 steel 4 Horse bumper pull Featherlite. Does anyone out there know the weight of this trailer? I am currently pulling it with a F250 super duty crew cab power stroke diesel that I share with my husband and it pulls it great...but I am looking for my own vehicle to pull it with and I need to know the weight of the trailer. Help! |

Location: Southern New Mexico | You can call featherlite or go to any truck stop and use their scales. You can also ask about scales at the feed store, they may know of somewhere that will let you weigh for free as long as you don't need a reciept. |

Location: Western Washington | Check your title and/or registration, it should have the weight as stated from the manufacturer. Be aware though, I have read posts from a lady named Kay (who actually sells trailers) and she says the weight is approximate. |

Location: MO | Is this a LQ trailer? The LQ will add a lot of weight. There should be a plate on or near the gn that will have a max trailer load weight. That'll at least give you an idea. The certificate of origin which you get wit a new trailer states the shipping weight. But that's completely empty and depending on the shipping method may not even include wheels.
The best way id to weigh it somewhere. I was amazed when I weighed ours and it came up @23,000 lbs. A 3H steel with a slide out in LQ. withe two horses, 10 bales of hay, two people, two dogs 100 gal of water and food for a weekend.
That stuff does add up. |
