Help, anyone know anything about Adequin vs Legend or the new stuff that has it all in it, don't know the name..  My 18 yr old retired reiner has it on a scale from 1-10 about a 4( according to the vet and soon to be worse.  I do Adequin , injections of Cortisol and ortho-con II msn/condroiton.  As soon as I retired him to pature and trail riding it flared up.  Any suggestions

ONE VET LIKES ADEQUIN ANOTHER SWEARS BY LEGEND FOR ARTHRITIS ?????

I love this sight, my 1st  (finally horse at 40yrs old) and yall have been so helpful

Location: NY		I had a quarter horse that had ring bone in both front and both joins. the vet said that is very unusal. the differnts between adequin and legend is the legend last longer and has to be giive i.v. I used the adequin one  every other week and one gram of butt a day also I gave him equial - cm everyday in his feed. I think that is help him stay comfortable for 3 years longer then the vets thought  he would I hope this help you .

I like legend as I've seen less side effects and more pain relief for longer times between doses.

But this is something that will never end, so unless you can saddle up for all the hauling back and forth and all those injections, because the money is gonna go fast you might consider letting him go.

It a tough thing to do but in the long run you are setting him free from pain.  I made this tough call two years ago and I miss him like hell but I know he's better off and watching me.
