Has anyone heard of "Mile Star" trailer tires?  A set of four will cost me $350.00 mounted.  They are 8 ply, D rated trailer tires.   I'm putting them on a two horse straight load.

Just a generality; D rated tires in the usual ST225/75R15 size have WAY more capacity than most 2 horse straight load trailers need.
Due to their D rating they have a max load and inflation pressure molded into the sidewall that many owners take to be the recommended pressure.
IMO this results in overinflated tires that are liable to run harshly, choppy, skittery.
FWIW, etc.

I hadn't heard of that brand, I have the Marathons on one trailer and - some other well known brand/model that I've temporarily forgotten - on the other one.
