Location: Nebraska | Get a ring, preferably of good quality, install a drain and water supply, form it up and pour concrete. keep ring off of ground so crete will flow under and around. We use steel rings but plastic would work for horses I think. |

Location: KS | I used clear silicon caulk on the outside of the seam, this would usually hold for quite awhile. As all of my metal tanks aged, I started replacing them with the rubbermaid tanks. They hold up better to pawing horses and are much easier to clean. They also don't seem to freeze over as fast. |

Location: Claxton, Ga. | I use 110 gal Tuffy Tanks. I have a horse that takes her own baths when it is hot. Front feet in the water tank, and stomp stomp stomp all the water out. She's been doing it for over 1yr 1/2 and no issues. Seams like this is contagous too. One of my other horses is starting to do it some. |

Location: White Mills, Ky. | Spooler - I have one of those "tank swimmers" too. Loves to get in and splash around. He has ruined a few tank heaters but so far the Rubbermaid tanks have held up to his foolishness. Funny thing is, we had the hardest time teaching him to walk into water on the trail....????....Guess he prefers his wading pool. RIDE ON! |

Location: Hockley Tx | I had the same problem with both my tanks. I purchased some JB Weld at the hardware, drained the tanks, put the JB Weld on, let dry till next day and tanks are good as new again. |
