I have just recently become the proud owner of an '04 CM Norstar 3H BP. They also now tell me to call it a Cimarron.?The roof on it has seperated into several layers, and now leaks like a sieve. The rest of the trailer is like new. I called my local dealer who called Cimarron and they say they'll fix it for about $2,000 if I get it to the plant in Oklahoma and drop it off for a while. I'm sure I'm not the only person who's seen this. What other options are there? I'm thinking to replace it with a traditional low maintenance aluminum skin roof. Any ideas out there??

Contact the original owner, they should have got the roof repair letter. It is based on VIN number.

Ask the original owner (if they are the people you got it from) to call.  Ask them to make arrangements to get it fixed if it's under the recall.  It's no money out of their wallet after all.

I'll have to reread my letter, I thought it said something about forwarding it to next owner or dealer if you no longer had the trailer.

on my letter it stated that if you do not own this trailer any longer please call us and let us know...if this is infact one of the trailers which it certainly sounds like it may be the first owners should of gotten a letter... im dealing with cimmeron right now i will let you know how all of that turns out... they are resealing the roof and yes i am a very unhappy camper about all of this... so far im not real impressed with the customer satisfaction of how this is being handled i sure hope that changes i feel they will be really hurting themselves with their product if it does not... good luck

They seriously want YOU TO PAY to fix it?  Wow.  Why isn't there anyone on here bashing Cimarron about this?  There were no shortage of people ready to crucify Exiss when a horse tore the roof up last week.  This is an actual case of materials and workmanship.  If there is ANYTHING that should be warrantable, it would be this.  But they actually expect you to pay $2000 to fix it.  That is unbelievable.
