We just got our new trailer this weekend and we have been trying to figure stuff out. It has a hook-up and shelf for the tv, but how do you keep the tv from falling off the shelf? Will just a strap hold it?
Thanks for any advice!!!

You unplug it and put it in a cabinet.Thats what I do with anything thats not bolted down before driving off.

I put a strap around mine and it holds it fine. I do have a pull out shelf that has a lip around the bottom so the tv won't slide off the edge, if your's doesn't I would put it away in a cabinet.

Unplug, and lay it on your bed with pillows around it.

We use TV Grip straps that go on the TV and hook on to the shelf. You can find them at this site http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/rv-locks/tv-hold-downs.htm. We have used them in several trailers and they have held on even in cold and hot conditions.

Use the industrial strength Velcro on the bottom of the TV and it will not go anywhere. Or just get a LCD TV and wall bracket and mount it to the wall or side of cabinet and it won't go any where. If you use the LCD TV you can use the shelf for other stuff or to hold the DVD player if you don't get a combo TV.

I use the tv grips to, it makes it a lot easier then always taking it down and putting it somewhere. I have used them in 2 trailers now and I have not lost a tv to the floor yet. Good luck.
