Location: southeast | I think you'll find regular boot polish is not recommended for 'exotics' whether snake, alligator, lizard and etc. - since, it is a polish not a conditioner. Included with a pair of caimen inlay boots I purchased was a product called Bickmore 4 Leather Conditioner. It will leave a nice luster after a mild brushing or use a soft cotton cloth. Even received a recommedation from a saddle maker to use it, as well. |

Location: Columbia, TN | If you use that soft polish you won't have any problems. I've done it for years Lizard , Alligator and Ostrich . If you think about it Ford tells you to only use Motorcraft oil.

Now, that is a point well taken. Actually, my intent was to offer the use of a leather conditioner rather than a 'polish' - not to solicit the use of a specific brand or affiliation. As for Ford telling me to use Motorcraft oil - I believe its a suggested manufacturer - however, they are specific in telling me the type of oil to use in my truck. Thanks for encouraging me to clear that up. |
