Location: East cost of USA | When we recieved our 12 yr gelding from his pasture to ride we noticed that his nostrials were filled with mugus and he was coughing earlier, should we be concern or is it just a regular cold like humanes get?? Thnkx 3horsefanatic |

      Location: East Tennessee, USA, Planet Earth | Did ya take his temp? Has he been exposed to other ill horses? Is he UTD on vaccinations? I for sure would NOT ride/use him until you rule out an illness. Yes...I would call my Vet. Keep us posted and bright healing light sent to your horse. |

   Location: Odenville, Alabama | Yes, you should be concerned. Especially if there is a cough. I don't know your vaccination routine, but Rhino/Flu, Strangles etc. should ALWAYS be a priority vaccination. Nothing can ruin a horse faster than respiratory problems. I'd have called the vet by now. |

Location: East cost of USA | Thank-you for your advice and we did call our vet and she said that it was just a regular runny nose because of the changing weather. But thanks for your help. |

   Location: Danielsville Georgia | Taking temp and doing a resting heart rate usually will tell you if a horse is having a issue.Takes less then ten minutes and you know if vet needs to be on the way or not. |
