Any suggestions on the best way to wash an alum. trialer? we used to live about 10 miles from a truck stop and I'd just drive it thru their acid wash station every 6 months or so, but don't have that luxury now...

I used to detail cars (many years ago) and ZEP had a great spray on aluminum acid wash product.

ZEP FORMULA 7961
TYPE:Moderate-Foam, Non-Fuming Acid CleanerPROD. #1098
BENEFITS:High concentration of mild, non-fuming acid cleaning agents for use in clean up of concrete mixing equipment, rust removal, and scale removal from stainless steel and aluminum equipment. Harmless to paint and rubber in use dilution.

Go to www.zep.com to get more information.  You can buy it online, or maybe there is a distributor in your area.
