Here in Ohio there was an article of 2 boys who killed a goat by splitting its skull and removing its brain, then on Halloween an elderly ladies chicken coop was invaded, again by teenagers, who killed 40 chickens, ducks and Turkeys. I agree that these people, if not stopped now, only progress in their behavior |

Location: pensacola, fl | My neighbor had 9 Horses shot and 8 died. One yearling was shot in the spine and had to be put down. The a--hole also killed the old mans 6 hunting dogs in their kennels. It was a horrible sight. When they caught the guy he said he had come to the property to do some rabbit hunting with a 22 and returned home to get a shotgun and flashlight, he remembers returning but doesn't remember shotting any horses. The scary thing is he walked right down the road where my kids ride their bikes with shotgun in hand. and this guy has a wife and 2 small kids and 2 dogs of his own. His bond was set at @ $50,000, I guess no one thought he was worth it, he is still sitting in jail, probably the best place for him being there is a lotta pissed off cowboys around these parts!! |

There're several thing that come to mind for punishment. But none that will make any difference. These guys don't understand anything and will probably get off pleading temporary insanity. Let's hope the judge throws the book at them. |

Not to change the subject, but just a reminder, up here deer season is just about upon us, so please remember to keep your horses in the barn, or in an enclosed area. A few years ago, some deer hunters shot and killed our neighbors 3 yr old belgian (like they couldn't tell the difference from a deer, c'mon!!) Sad thing was, nobody even bothered to tell the old guy what happened, he found him the next morning.........only about 50 yards from his garage. Some hunters apparently don't understand simple English like "no hunting" and "no trespassing"( no offence to you RESPONSIBLE hunters out there) I am just really sick of people jumping our fence to hunt deer in our timber...........think I'll get the pellet gun out and sit in the deer stand and "surprise them" (don't want to hurt them, just shake them up a little!!) |

Do you load your own ammo? If you do, rocksalt stings like **** and leaves very little evidence. When I was a kid our neighbour used to get us for cutting across his wheat field. Of course I'm sure its probally illegal in most states. My grandpa also used to use it to teach the neighbours/ dumped off dogs to stay out of his pastures. |

Location: CO | I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but all of you are out numbered!!!! There are more IDIOTS, than smart people... There is not enough pellets or salt to make a difference!!! LOL As far as the slaying, it's not acholhol, it's their upbringing!! Bad parents make bad kids!! Yes it's that simple...I see it everyday, kids do things with no consequnces, then we set around and wonder why it happens and why the schools, police, gov, blah, blah , blah, can't solve the problem. It's the PARENTS, or should I say the people they grew up with... My rant! Cowby |

COWBY.... Unfortunately, you are hitting the nail! If you teach kids there are consequences for their actions, they soon learn to not be butt heads. And much has to do with our constant striving to keep up with the "Jones's". We have latchkey kids, with "Parents" with no idea what those kids are doing, as the folks are driving many miles to jobs they hate, and are so frustrated and tense when they arrive home, they dive into a quicky meal and a beer. Then wake up early and do the same thing again tommorrow. As a consequence, the kids grow up with computer game morals, and no guidence. We need to maybe go back to the three generation family where instead of no one home, Gramps or Gramms is there to talk to, and maybe dish out some real life  . I for one remember my Gramma's dark eyes looking at me with "that look", when I was a butthead, and she could use a switch too!! ( last time I think I was 19 yrs old!! and I am now 60!) |
