Yesterday, while my trailer was parked, my breakaway cable was pulled out from the box. My hubby pushed it back in, Is that all it takes to put it back? Does it need to be reset somehow? I didn't know if they were like airbags, or if it's just a plug. Thanks!

Pushing it back in completely will reset it.  How long was it pulled out?  All the time it was pulled out, it was supplying power to the brakes from the trailer brake battery.  You should check the charge on the trailer battery.  Recharge it if needed.

Yup, that's all it takes.  Unless something on the "plug" broke.  (shouldn't have, unless it's old and brittle)  Just push 'er back in good and tight and that's it.

  Talk to y'all later...

It was only out for about 3 seconds. Thank you. He said it was back in. We just didn't know for sure. That's why I love this sight. Thanks for the useful info.
