Is anyone familiar with any of the great horse trails in either South or North Carolina?
Looking into somewhere we could retire in ten years!!!

I live in Charlotte NC.  To go to the mountains I drive about 3 1/2 hours, to go to the beazch about 4 hours.  Va mountains are about 3 1/2 hours.  The weather here is mild.  Real estate is high, but it should be.  Everyone wants to come here.

SC has places to ride but in the summer it is too hot to ride.

I live about halfway between Columbia and Aiken in SC.  Lots of great places to go trail riding around here and lots of great weekend rides most of the year.  You can get from sea to the mountains in SC in around 3 hours or so and you can get to GA and NC, too.  We love it here.

We ride 10 months out of the year which is why we moved here.
