Location: virginia | I have a 2006 Chevy Tahoe z71 with the towing package. I have seen a 2007 Gore Thoroughbred two horse with side ramp that I really like. 7'9" wide aprox 17' long. 3420 lbs empty 2660 hooked up hitch weight 760.
I have a Warmblood and sometime may haul for a friend. I am from Va. and we do have to travel over a few hills and one some what intimating mtn.
Should I down scale and keep looking?

Location: Rocky Mount N.C. | You are talking about #3A on the Gore website? And you are traveling on I-64 between Staunton and Charlottesville (intimanting mountain at Waynesboro)? Trailer wheels set a little far back for my liking, got to be that way with a side ramp. Some would say go for, me, I'd leave it alone. Long trailer (wheels set way back), short wheelbase truck, alot of tongue weight for a Tahoe without bars.......It would be a sharp setup, but then again, sharp things will cut you. Others with more knowlege of towing with that type setup will be along to help shortly. |
