Location: Michigan | CA-CHING$$.....Save your money and put it towards that tank of fuel. I've gotten this far in life without one of those clips in my 20-some years of having horses...don't need one now. Looks like a good idea and probably will draw in the brand new horse owner crowd. |

| Yeh, $20.00 seemed like alot till I figured out how much time I spent everyday tying and untying knots. Saves a TON of time. My horses don't pull, it's more the conveniance that I like. |

Location: Kansas City | It's ok to see ideas like this. Look and learn. While I won't pay $26, it did give me an idea about using a ring at the bottom of my own snap. More power to people who think up new ideas ! Heck there was a time that horse hands probably pooh-pahed $20 nylon halters and now they have a half dozen $6 ones laying around the farm. |

Location: El Paso, Texas | Looks like a good product for some, what I mean is how many rides and events you been on where people dont even tie a safety knot when tying their horses. But, what do you do if the horse keeps pulling when it reaches the knot on the end of the rope, no safety line to pull (cut it?)

Location: THE GREAT NORTHWET, OREGON(THE REAL GODS COUNTRY) | Wow what a deal !!! looks like that horse needs one more shot. Right between the eyes. With a little time and maybe some ammo, this horse can be trained not to do that and then you don't need "THE CLIP" Can't stand a disrespectfull animal. It's unsafe and expensive.Training is the key. Tune in next week when we bring you the latest gadget called the stick. With the stick you'll never be without something to whack the dog, grandkids or old one-eye again! think of the time you can save!! availabl in varnished or plain.Order yours today, they won't last long at this price!! call BR 549 to order, operators are standing by. |

| It looks EXACTLY like a standard hardware store item that could probably be had for under $5, perhaps under $3.
OK, so they show a couple of ways to loop rope through that will provide varying degrees of braking - big deal.
I have no time for what are known in tech diving circles as "suicide clips" anyway. |

| Here's another "solution in search of a problem"
http://www.airtighthubs.com/products-e-axle.php
It really takes some imagination to believe you'd need to carry one around.
Not that many horse trailers have idler axles anyway, though it would probably work as well on the remains of your spindle if you just take off all your brake parts.
BTW, with a spindle as damaged as the one they depict I doubt the feasibility of getting the rest of the trailer anywhere.
I found it in a boat magazine, OK so I trailer boats around too (-:

Me too, but I reserve my applause for credible inventions that address some need, or at least a potential need. I'm wary of rip-off items, though I'll admit to having bought more than a few items that were less than I expected )-:

I agree...I have also seen some pretty dumb and/or pointless inventions...but I have to admit I still love to look at gadgets and jimcracks and have always admired people who think up new stuff and even new uses for old stuff. |

Boats, tractor (& attachments), snowmobiles, Jetskis, motorcycles, log spitters, men gotta have their toyze.
"Stuff" that fits in horse trailers, e.g. furniture. Surprising how many "friends" you discover once they figure that ALL their stuff would probably go in there and save them a U-haul truck rental. NOT firewood !
Me: OK, but I only haul walk-on freight.
They: Huh ?
Me: Horses walk on, I don't carry them.
If your furniture can't walk on YOU have to carry it on.
They: Oh, Hah hahh !

LOL, hey you stole MY line! That's what I always say, "I won't truck anything that doesn't walk itself on and off my wagon!" HOWEVER... there are times, exspecially in this awfull heat, when your dealin' with those stupid, ornery, stuburn a$$ bulls to get up and off the trailer, ya can't help but think that it WOULD be easier carrying furniture!! And the top nose of the bull-racks... can gaurantee 15-20 degrees hotter than outside temps. Wouldn't change it for the world, though!! "Let tham Cow-Trucks Roll!!" Talk to y'all later... |
