| Purchased a nearly new trailer, love it but have never owned one with livingquarters. Has all whistles and bells, it has a switch that says house battery and you can turn on or off. Will my batteries on the trailer still charge while on the road if I have it turned off? Thanks~ |

![25](https://horsetrailerworld.com/forum/images/decorations/multiple/25.gif) Location: waverly, tn 37185 | I had purchased a used Sundowner with LQ too. I have found that I can go to Sundowner website and register my trailer (by VIN number) and I can then download the user's manual. Maybe you can try the same? Good luck and congrat's on your new ride! ![](http://www.horsetrailerworld.com/forum/emoticons/icon_aug4.gif)

Thanks~ Welcome to the forum ..The first question YOU have to answer is: Does your tow vehicle supply power to the aux trailer circuit? Without power, there is no battery charging regardless of the switch position.

BUT!, leave your batteries on when plugged in to an external source and when hauling. Only turn them off when you are not able to let them charge and always remember to turn EVERYTHING off before you unplug from a power source. Even a small LED light will drain your battery if, by chance, you forget to turn off the batteries. |
