Is there any way to fix this on a steel trailer that has the smooth sides and it is in good condition except that the seams are starting to show rust and paint bubbling in some places.  There is siliocone caulking on these areas already.  Trailer is a titan and it is a 1998 model.

I am sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but I, as a fellow steel trailer owner have a question for you. I saw pictures of your LQ on another post, it looks great!! I am in the process of doing mine and I am wondering how you did your door? I notice you don't have a camper door either.....is your door insulated from the factory, or how did you insulate it? Thanks! Kelly

The best way to battle rust is to get rid of it, scrape it out with a 3 in 1 tool or wire brush, then paint the area that had the rust right away. If the seams weren't caulked before, I myself wouldn't do them. The only places we have caulked are the seams in the roof on ours. Sounds like the seams in the walls? That is normal but get the bubbling under control. From your pics I saw before your trailer looked in great shape!
