Location: Amarillo, TX | I was wondering how well built the Cherokee trailers are? I have not heard much about them and I was just curious as to what they are like. Thanks ahead for any input. |

Location: Lavaca, Alabama | I am anxious to hear what others say about Cherokees as well. I don't consider myself on expert on anything and don't do much responding on this board, although I read it daily. With that said, I bought a used 2002 Cherokee Chief Plus about 6 weeks ago. I couldn't be happier with the trailer. I have crawled all over and under it and everything looks very solid to me. The hinges are welded on, not bolted, and all the welds look really nice on the trailer. I bought it sight unseen a 1000 miles away. When I got it, the trailer was very, very nasty. I don't think it had ever been washed in its entire life. I was very concerned initially about hidden damage it might have. But after a good scrubbing, it looks as if no major damage was done. I like the folding rear tack and removable center post. It has drops at the head and slats with plexi on the rump. I looked for a long time to find exactly what I wanted, and had looked mostly at 4-Stars and Sundowners. This trailer was much cheaper (about $4000) than anything comparable in age, etc. I found by those two manufacturers. And for what my experience is worth, not that much different. |

Location: Hockley Tx | I love my 2000 Cherokee Cheif Plus. It has a 6 1/2 foot living quarter and it is in excellent condition inside the trailer, unfortunately it has hail damage on the outside but it only affects it cosmetically. The trailer is very well built and very good quality. But, a friend of mine recently purchased a 2006 Cherokee Invasion with a slide out and it appears to be cheaper in construction. She has had quite a few problems with hers, small ones but shouldn't have to take your trailer back for repairs when new. |

| We had a 2001 Cherokee Invasion with just a dressing room that we camped in for 5 years. I loved that trailer. Very well built. Unfornately we could not find a Cherokee with lq that fit our budget so we ended up with featherlite which we love. Debbie |
