Have y'all seen this yet?  What an awsome idea.  Stidham is offering a trailer with painted slats or panels on it.  They are removable so if one gets scratched or something you can pull it out and have it repainted.  I think it's cool you can match your trailer to your rigs color, then if ya get a new truck, pull your panels, take them into your neighborhood body shop and BINGO with a little paint your trailer matches your new rig.   Why wasn't this thought of a long time ago?  I've got a custom paint job on my rig and you just don't find a trailer with the same color. (kind of a custom teal-green) Problem solved!

Another idea whose time has come-Sundowner putting bolt on fenders. We have a fire hydrant by the barn that just keeps jumping into my way when I back!

I agree, tearway or bounce back fenders could be good, but no substitute for careful manuvering.

Fire hydrants are SHORT !
I think the ones on private property, and ESPECIALLY on corners, need high (and highly visible) guard rails around them. A LOT of water comes out really FAST when one of those gets up rooted - a tractor/trailer clipped one at Springfield last year and the place was flooded in about 20 minutes.

Only because I'm among friends will I admit this-my husband was fire chief at the time. Even HE admitted the hydrant was placed too close to the street and not readily visible. Careful maneuvering....hmmm...I'll have to try that!

Not only do things like fire hydrants jump out at people, sometimes they hide and then after you hit them, they just look at you like "well, I was just sitting here the whole time" all innocent like.

Yeah, I know the type :-)

DH teases me about it on a regular basis.

Careful manuvering? what's that?
