Location: Missouri | Is it possible to get an awning on the 3 horse Exiss Sport model. I have the 4 ft. short wall model and there isn't much room between my camper door and the gooseneck crank. Is it possible to fit an awning arm inbetween? I've been looking for a picture of one on the web and haven't found one. If anyone does have a pic that would be great! |

Location: Yellow Springs, OH | Yes, it's possible to install an awning on the Exiss 304 Sport model. I have a 2006 with an awning. The living quarters door cannot be locked back in an open position because of the awning arm and I will be adding a door knob pad on the door to cushion it if it hits the arm. It's worth the small inconvenience to have the awning. If I want the door open - I just use a bungee cord. I'll try and take a photo tomorrow.

Location: Mobile, AL | Depending on the awning type and manufacture, you can remove the awning support and have it supported directly on the ground, thus allowing the door to be opened and latched back. Remember if you use it this way to stake the leg support to the ground. This is only for when the awning is opened. Using a bungee cord is the best way to keep the door opened when the awning is not opened. |

Location: Belle, MO | So far, I haven't run into a trailer that wouldn't accomodate an awning. (Having said that, now it'll happen) 45
You may have to have it custom cut, but it most likely can be done. |

Location: Maryland | I have the same trailer and yes you can. The only problem you'll have is opening your door all the way. I don't know how to post a picture but I will try. If not I will pm you for your email address. |

Location: Yellow Springs, OH | Here's the last photo of the whole awning. It's too cold out to put it up today. |

Location: Montevallo AL | We had one installed by the dealer, no big deal. Also, if you get the kind where the awning arms can be detached from the trailer at the bottom, that's great b/c then you can set the arm by the LQ door on the ground, and not bang into the awning arm everytime you open it, as shown here. <img src=> |

Location: Yellow Springs, OH | Boy! Am I dumb! I've only used my awning once and didn't realize I could disconnect the leg to get it out of the way. I checked it today and found that there is a latch at the back to disconnect it, thanks for educating me! |

Location: Montevallo AL | One thing to know- get a tent 'peg' to nail it to the ground with- you'll see the leg has a hole it in that plastic base for just such a purpose. That way, if the wind picks up- it can't take your awning with it I haven't done this solo, but with two people, it's very easy. And remember to leave one end lower, as shown, so the dew, rain, etc runs off where you want it to. Glad to help!
