Location: El Paso, Texas | My neighbor is looking to trade in a 2005 Cougar 5th wheel camper for a LQ horse trailer. Would like dealers to respond with a phone number or web site for dealers that take RV's in on trade. Thanks. We are in El Paso Texas |

Location: Colorado Springs | I'm kind of in the same boat- have to get rid of an RV to get the LQ Horse trailer. I've found that most horse trailer dealers sell RV's of one type or another too. BUT the trade in price is nowhere close to what you can get selling the RV yourself. Makes sense, the dealer has to make a buck too in order to keep the doors open.
People have had good luck selling RV's themselves at the rv.net site.
A good friend sold off his RV in just 2 weeks, at the price he was looking for.
If he still wants to trade, go to the 'trailers for sale' section of THIS site, and contact the various dealers listed there, that have the trailer he's looking for. |

Location: Western WA | I just went through this too and couldn't find a dealer, even one that sold both RV's and horse trailers, to give me a decent trade in value. Ended up finding a private party with a horse trailer for sale that met my requirements who was looking for an RV so we worked out a trade. But that was a needle in a haystack find for both of us.
I actually had the best response posting a wanted ad right here on Horse Trailer World, along with advertising in my local paper. I had zero response from the many online RV sale sites. |

Location: Tennesse | You can always put your trailer on consignment at most dealers for no charge, I would recommend consigning it to a camper dealer . |
