Location: iowa | Couldnt find any threads in that last few years and looking for recomendations on shock abssorbing GN coupler. My new 1 ton is not drivable when pulling trailer with all the bumps in the road. It jerks me up and down and side to side depending on the cracks in the road. Tried posting a pic of rig but asked for odd info and cant just attached a pic like one would normally do. 2024 Ram mega cab dually with long LQ with side ramp and mid tack so axless are set back. Old truck K2500 pulled it comfortable but needed more payload |

Location: Baker, FL | We're also very happy with our Gen-Y Spartan gooseneck coupler. Both the Shocker and Gen-Y can be found at etrailer.com. They make a HUGE difference. Worth the money.

Location: iowa | been trying to decide between the 2 but not many reviews on Gen y nor videos. Just do not want to make a mistake. I like Gen ffor eassy no fuss but shocker may be better that you can adjust air? |

Location: Tenn/Ala. | Both are great products. But yes- the shocker needs a little attention to get it set where it works best, and then occasionally check it's pressure. The Gen Y, just run it. But air is softer than rubber. Our Powersports folks like the shocker. Some of our equestrian customers like not having to "fiddle" with the Gen Y. Kind of like the same comparioson of Timbrens or air bags on the truck. IMHO. |

| We opted for the Shocker. Yes, you do have to fiddle with the air, and yes it takes some time to get it right, but we felt it’s a better ride and it gives you options. Depending on if we’re carrying our one little guy, or we’ve got a trailer full, you can raise/lower the air to give you that perfect ride. The Gen-Y, you get what you get |
