Location: MO | We are switching insurance companies, and the new company wants to know the value of my horse trailer. When I initially insured it in 2005, my trailer wasn't that old and had a nice weekender package put in by the previous owner. I valued it at $18K (between what it cost me to purchase and what it would cost to buy new with no weekender. My trailer is an '02 Exiss Event 3-horse that is lightly hauled and well maintained with upgrades. I've checked on this website to find what similar Exiss 3-horses are going for, but all the ones that are older have living quarters. Should I take the prices on those trailers and subtract $5K+/- because mine doesn't have LQs? That would still keep me in the current range of $18K+/-. To buy a new Exiss would be in the $40K+ range. How have other forum members valued their trailers for insurance purposes?
TIA
