Subject: Replace Nev R Lube cartridges or axle?

My 2001 Sooner 3H has the Nev R Lube bearings and one has gone down. IDK when or if they have ever been replaced before I got the trailer 4 years ago. Since I cannot replace the spindles to change to different type bearings, would I be money ahead or better off to replace the axles with standard or EZlube than put new Nev R Lube cartridges in?

Location: Tenn/Ala.		Just depends I reckon. Trailers in that era had welded on axles. So replacement takes some time. And new axles are expensive. Might depend on your anticipated mileage the next few years.

Location: White Pine, TN		We've replaced cartridges over the years, just needs a special tool, that's all.
