My 2001 Sooner 3H has the Nev R Lube bearings and one has gone down. IDK when or if they have ever been replaced before I got the trailer 4 years ago. Since I cannot replace the spindles to change to different type bearings, would I be money ahead or better off to replace the axles with standard or EZlube than put new Nev R Lube cartridges in?

Just depends I reckon. Trailers in that era had welded on axles. So replacement takes some time. And new axles are expensive. Might depend on your anticipated mileage the next few years.

We've replaced cartridges over the years, just needs a special tool, that's all.
