If I don't extend my mirrors for a couple weeks, they will get stuck(usually one of them) and I have to pull it out some and then it will work just fine. I usually retract them all the way and then put them out just a bit, but that does not prevent the problem. Not sure if my mirrors are faulty or if that is just a "feature."

I love em'. Have had no problems with them sticking. Check with your dealer, yep, big sigh, breathe deep, I said the "D" word. ;) |

| Mine stick, have done since about mile 3.
I used to pull or push them just off the end of travel, but it got worse and now I just leave them extended all the time. I hardly use the truck without the trailer anyway and it was hardly worth adjusting them every time when I did.
They're still great to have, if I ever find myself with nothing much to do and the truck isn't hooked to a trailer I might just drop by the (*)ealership with it and bug them.
There, I didn't say the D_word.

Your GM dealer should have knowledge of the problem and the fix. |

Is there a DIY version ?
I'd just prefer to pop off the cover and tweak a little torx screw myself if thats all it takes, rather than expose the truck to another service bay experience (-:
They're not BAD people, its just that I have to take the trailer off to go there because even for something like this they HAVE TO TAKE IT INSIDE to work on it.

When warranties are involved I usually advise toward the pro's but I understand not liking dentist or service visits. You can go to their website and ask for intructions at http://powervisionmirrors.com |

![25](https://horsetrailerworld.com/forum/images/decorations/multiple/25.gif) Location: Delta, B.C., Canada | I have a 2002 Chevy Duramax, that does not have the Electric mirrors, but am thinking of getting after market ones put on as it is a pain to always be ajusting them. Does anyone know if these are any better than the factory ones |

If so they are the same mirrors. Power Vision had a proto type mirror I saw that had a backup sensor connected to it for flashing when you where to close to something. But it's not coming to market. I hope at SEMA this year they have a backup camera. Edge is coming out with a backup camera in the Attitude monitor that will be nice. Comes with a mood ring and heart rate monitor, just kidding |
