I have a 04 350 crew cab dually with 17k miles. It blew the turbo hose and left me stranded with horses last week. It was towed to a dealer ( I was 4hrs from home) I picked up the next day - hooked back up headed to the show and 50 miles later it blew again. Again it was towed- I picked it up 4 days later. I drove home last night towing a trailer and two horses- had to baby it the whole way. The rpms headed to the 4 range when at 65-70 mph. I had to drive 45mph to keep it at 2 + rmps. It was making a load rushing air sound by the turbo hose area. Type in " ford turbo problems" on google. You will be amazed it is a chronic problem. I have spoken to numerous people, including service techs and mgrs. I was told by my own Ford dealership today to stay away from a the 6.0. I am getting rid of mine. The mgr. told me difficult to solve the problem They had one truck that blew the hose - no joke 50 times. I loved my truck but now F - fix O- or R-repair D- daily is soooo.... true. I m heading to Chevy or Dodge til Ford can figure it out. |
